The City of Pembroke Park is located in the southwestern potions of Broward County and limits with Miami Dade County to the south, to the east by Hallandale Beach, to the north with Hollywood Beach and to the west with Miramar is just 20 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.
Incorporated in 1957 Pembroke Park consisted mostly of quarries and trailer parks, today the 1.6 square miles city, has numerous beautiful lakes and parks and is host of some large businesses like the Coca Cola Bottling company, Royal Caribbean Cruise lines and Home Depot. With nearly 7,000 residents comprised of 31% married couples, homes are 51% owner occupied; enjoys a proactive parks department responsible for social and cultural activities, has strategically located parks in various areas for easy access, the Howard Clark Park and P Behan Park are located on the east side and the Raymond P. Oglesby Reserve and Ryan park to the west. The Howard Clark surrounds a gorgeous pond bordered by a linear walkway and enclosed by lush tropical vegetation and trees with recreational facilities like pick nick tables and grills.
The eastern edge of town has more than 600 businesses ranging from fine restaurants to modern shops and boutiques, like the Pembroke Park Antique District and Pembroke Lakes Mall.
